Linguistics and language studies cover a wide research area at the University of Bergen. This research community comprises about forty researchers working in projects related to general and formal linguistics, historical linguistics, sociolinguistics and dialectology, psycho- and neurolinguistics, developmental linguistics, computational and corpus linguistics, second language learning, text linguistics, and terminology.
